As our firm continues to grow, we’re seeking an experienced AU Bookkeeper / Accountant to join our fully remote team. We offer a long-term career opportunity with internal growth pathways for the right candidate.

💼 Your Role:

You will manage day-to-day and month-end bookkeeping tasks for multiple clients across various industries. Using Xero, you’ll ensure accurate financial records, timely reporting, and strong ATO compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Daily bookkeeping and financial data entry
  • Coding and entering bills and receipts
  • Supplier payment processing (including ABA files)
  • Payroll processing and superannuation compliance
  • Bank reconciliations (AU and international accounts)
  • Month-end processes: journals, accruals, adjustments
  • BAS, IAS and ATO account reconciliations
  • Balance sheet reconciliation, including intercompany loans
  • Management reporting and financial insights
  • Use of cloud tools such as HubDoc

👤 About You:

You are reliable, detail-oriented, and confident in your bookkeeping expertise. You’re someone who enjoys working independently, solving problems, and adding value to a team.

To be successful, you will have:

  • 2-4 years of Australian bookkeeping or accounting experience (required)
  • 5+ years total experience in bookkeeping or accounting
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce or related field
  • CPA or equivalent qualification (preferred but not essential)
  • Minimum 2 years experience using Xero (including payroll & multi-currency)
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication
  • Strong time management, initiative, and ability to prioritise tasks
  • Willingness to work during Australian business hours

  • Reliable home office setup with dual monitors
  • High-speed internet (minimum 20 Mbps with backup)
  • Noise-cancelling headset
