Position Overview:

The primary purpose of the Medical Biller is to navigate the day-to-day billing functions to ensure claims are submitted to all payers in a timely manner and in accordance with current acceptable reimbursement principles relating to payer guidelines to maximize reimbursement within the organization. Charge Processing –Ensuring all billing documents are accurately processed in a timely manner

Job Responsibilities:

·         Research and resolve EOB rejections and other issues with outstanding accounts.

·         Follow up on insurance and patient aging. Re-submit insurance claims as necessary.

·         Prepare and manage all primary and secondary billings, including Medicare A, Hospice, Private, and Managed Care, via paper or electronic means according to payer-specific rules.

Job Qualifications:

·         Must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, BSN

·         Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in Healthcare Billing Collections required.

·         Familiar with Computer applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

·         Medicare Part A & Part B, Commercial, Medicaid, and co-insurance billing required.

·         Skilled nursing facility (SNF) Billing experience required. (A MUST)

·         Minimum of two (2) years of experience billing Medicare A, preferred.

·         Proficient in the English language, both verbal and written
